Product Overview
Our unique Electroformed Diamond Core drill bit has tremendous number of advantages over other types of drill bits. They have a thin wall of 0.02" (0.5 mm) with a depth of 0.28" of multilayered diamonds and bonding matrix, designed for high speed, high production drilling. These electroformed diamond drill bits have the maximum concentration of diamond, which offers strong interfacial bonding with the metal matrix and hence the service life is much longer compared to other drill bits. The high concentration of diamonds also offers self-sharpening effect, which makes a dressing stone unnecessary. Upon damage, the worn surface will grind off and a new diamond layer will be revealed so there is no need for additional redressing. The electroforming technique results in uniform diamond grit dispersion on the tool. The tool has better thermal stability and sharpness. The unique wavy- shape blade facilitates chip removal and heat dissipation. Due to the thin wall, the drill bits are fragile, so it is highly recommended for use in a true running production type drilling press rather than a hand drill. Our drill bits are available in Belgian style mounts, also knows as 1/2 gas or continental threads.
